Human Rights Policy

In order to fulfill corporate social responsibility, protect the basic human rights of all colleagues, customers and stakeholders, Taiwan Steel Union Co., Ltd follows the principles set forth in the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights, The United Nations Global Compact, and the International Labor Organization Convention, and other international human rights conventions. It respects internationally recognized basic human rights policies and fully reflects the responsibility of respecting and protecting human rights. Treat with dignity and respect the company colleagues, and abide by the labor-related laws and regulations of the company's location.

The scope of application of the company's human rights policy includes the company and its subsidiaries. The human rights issues and policies concerned are as follows:

Provide a fair place of work

There will be no unfair and differential treatment due to personal gender, race, socioeconomic status, nationality, age, marriage or family status, language, religion, party affiliation, physical appearance, height, physical disabilities, etc.

Provide a safe working environment

We attach importance to the safety and healthy working environment of employees, implements the ISO14001 environmental management system and ISO45001 occupational safety and health management system, continuously improves the working environment and sanitary conditions, and strives to reduce the risk of occupational accidents and protect the physical and mental health of employees.

Respect for human rights in the workplace

The company complies with government labor regulations, does not employ child labor, and avoids overtime and overwork. Establish a smooth communication channel, and regularly hold labor-management meetings to ensure the rights and interests of both parties, and build a workplace environment with a harmonious labor-management relationship.

Implement information security

In order to respect the privacy rights of all stakeholders and protect the collection and legal use of personal data, the company has established a comprehensive information security management mechanism to control data access and prevent data leakage.

The company expects that all partners, including suppliers and contractors, will jointly enhance the management of human rights-related issues and international human rights awareness, in line with the spirit and basic principles of this policy.
