On December 11, 2018 , Taiwan Steel Union provided free assistance to the Hsinchu County Government in cleaning up illegally dumped hazardous waste (mainly electric arc furnace dust) on the west coast of Fengbi Tunnel in Xinfeng Township, demonstrating its support for local environmental protection.
Due to the large scale of pollution and high treatment costs, the Taiwan Steel Union team fulfilled its corporate social responsibility by assisting with the cleanup and treatment operations, enabling the pollution emergency response plan to proceed smoothly within a limited budget, making a crucial contribution to improving the coastal environment.
